Report: Andre Drummond Named to All-NBA 3rd Team

For the first time since the 2006-2007 season, a Detroit Piston has made an All-NBA Team. Chauncey Billups made the All-NBA 3rd team back in 2007.

Pistons’ star center Andre Drummond was named to the All-NBA 3rd Team today. He made the team along with the following: Toronto Raptors point guard- Kyle Lowry, Golden State Warriors shooting guard- Klay Thompson, Indiana Pacers small forward- Paul George, and San Antonio Spurs power forward- LaMarcus Aldridge.

Ahead of Drummond was DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings. He made the All-NBA 2nd Team. Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan was named to the All-NBA 1st Team.

Drummond received 13 first team votes, 26 second team votes, and 30 third team votes. He finished with 173 points in voting, the most of anyone on the 3rd team. DeMarcus finished with 277 points, and Jordan with 317.

Drummond finished the season averaging 16.2 points, 14.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game. He led the league in rebounds per game.
