Report: Pistons’ GM Jeff Bower Agrees to Extension

According to Yahoo’s The Vertical, the Detroit Pistons have agreed to a contract extension with General Manager Jeff Bower.

Next season would be the last year on Bower’s contract before signing the extension according to The Vertical’s report.

Stan Van Gundy has praised Bower in recent discussions. Van Gundy has said that Bower was crucial in the trades that acquired both Reggie Jackson from the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Tobias Harris from the Orlando Magic.

He also drafted both small forward Stanley Johnson and shooting guard Darrun Hilliard in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Bower has been a great GM for Detroit, and it is no surprise that Detroit re-signed him.
