Report: Detroit Sends Jodie Meeks to Orlando in Salary Dump

Jodie Meeks time as a Detroit Piston has come to an end. After signing a three-year deal with the detroit Pistons two summers ago, Meeks will not finish that contract as a member of the Pistons.

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, the Detroit Pistons will send Meeks  to the Orlando Magic.

Meeks only appeared in three regular season games last season for Detroit. He broke his foot in the second game of the season against the Utah Jazz.

The Pistons will receive a second round draft pick for Meeks.

This gives Detroit around $21.5 million in salary cap space. They can now use this in free agency to sign a top-tier power forward in free agency such as Al Horford.
