Game Recap: Hornets Sting Pistons

In a match-up where Andre Drummond had 26 points and 20 rebounds and the opposition shot 34% from the field, the Pistons lost by double digits.  Believe it or not, Detroit was not able to capitalize on the big man’s best game of the season and a pathetic offensive effort by the Hornets when they played in Charlotte tonight and ended with a score of 87-77 not in their favor.

The Pistons didn’t help themselves at all when they shot the ball only 38% from the field and 28% from behind the arc.  In addition to the woeful shooting, Detroit also committed twelve turnovers and their opponent only had five.

Marcus Morris, Reggie Jackson, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all shot under 34% from the field.  All in all, the Pistons offense tonight was a pathetic and disheartening display other than Andre Drummond.

The Pistons were only down three points heading into the fourth quarter but were outscored 26-19 once they got there.  After an impressive win the night before against the Bulls, fans should not be that distraught over tonight’s performance.  Detroit is now (12-12) and will play at Minnesota (6-15) Friday night.
