Game Recap: Led by Andre Drummond, Pistons demolish Timberwolves 117-90
Tonight the Detroit Pistons (13-12) demolished the Minnesota Timberwolves (6-17) 117-90.
Coming off a 26-point, 20-rebound game on Wednesday, Andre Drummond posted another monster stat line. Drummond scored 22 points (10-13) and grabbed 22 rebounds.
Marcus Morris poured in 15 points with 7 rebounds while Jon Leuer continued to show why he is the Pistons best reserve, scoring 17 points off-the-bench. Overall, it was a great team effort.
In garbage time, Marcus Morris caught an elbow to the head/nose from Adrian Payne. Payne was called for the flagrant-2 foul, leading to his automatic ejection. As of now, we are still waiting word on Morris’ injury.
The “eye test” tells you Reggie Jackson is not yet himself but he got more and more comfortable throughout the game. Reggie finished with 16 points (5-15) and 4 assists. Pistons rookie Henry Ellenson impressed many of his hometown fans scoring his first NBA three-pointer.
The Timberwolves had a tall task tonight and they could not keep up. The Pistons outrebounded and outshot the Timberwolves from behind the arch. Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves with 16 points.
The Pistons will fly back home and face the lowly Philadelphia 76ers (5-18) Sunday at 6pm eastern.
