Game Preview: Pistons Battle 76ers at the Palace on Star Wars Night

Tonight the Detroit Pistons (13-12) face the Philadelphia 76ers (5-18) at 6pm eastern.

Next stop on Andre Drummond’s “20/20 Experience Tour” is the Palace of Auburn Hills. Dre has dominated his last two games, posting consecutive 20point-20rebound performances. He should be able to continue this Sunday, especially with Joel Embiid out.

After losing eight games in a row, the 76ers posted a rare win Thursday night defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 99-88. Former-Piston Ersan Illyasova led Philly in scoring with 23 points. The Spaniard, Sergio Rodriguez, also pitched in 16 points with 8 assists.

Simply put, the Philadelphia 76ers are still one of the worst teams in the league. 76ers rank last in offensive rating (99.1) while giving up 106.3 points per game to opponents (22 of 30). Detroit (4-0) won all four meetings against Philadelphia last year.

On the bright side for Philly, both Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor are expected to play Sunday. Noel is making his season debut while Okafor missed three games because of gastroenteritis.
