First, on behalf of everyone at PalaceofPistons.com, rest in peace to the legend Craig Sager.
After a disappointing start to the season, the Wizards have won four of their last six games averaging 107 points in each contest.
On Wednesday night, the Wizards defeated the Charlotte Hornets 109-106. Wall and Beal combined for 45 points and 19 assists while Marcin Gortat posted a double-double (16pts, 12rebs). Wall set the record for most steals in franchise history (763), passing Greg Ballard. Beal posted a career high 9 assists.
Simply put, the Washington Wizards have one of the best backcourts in basketball with John Wall (24ppg, 9.5apg, 4.5rpg) and Bradley Beal (21.8ppg, 3.5apg, 3.0rpg). The Pistons will have their hands full Friday and recent history is not in their favor. Last year, Detroit lost three out of four meetings against Washington. However, SVG’s Pistons have become a defensive force, Detroit currently has the second best defensive rating in the NBA.
Last game the Pistons defeated the Mavericks 95-85. Reggie Jackson had a breakout game dropping 20 points while dishing out 6 assists. Jon Leuer had one of his best games in his career scoring 19 points with 5 rebounds in 30 minutes.
