Game Recap: Wall leads Wizards to 122-108 blowout win over Pistons

Tonight, the Detroit Pistons were blown out by the Washington Wizards, 122-106. John Wall completely dominated the game scoring 29 points while dishing out 11 assists. Wall could not be stopped in transition and he did a great job finding his teammates. Wall’s backcourt partner, Bradley Beal, continued his hot shooting, scoring 25 points.

Marcin Gortat posted another double-double (12p, 14r) and Otto Porter finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led all Pistons with 24 points while Andre Drummond tallied another double-double (13p, 12r). Off the bench, Jon Leuer had 17 points (8-12), 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. At this point, Leuer has to be considered a brilliant off-season acquisition by the President of Basketball Operations, Stan Van Gundy.

Unfortunately, Tobias Harris, Reggie Jackson, and Marcus Morris could not find their shot tonight, combining 10-34 from the field.

Overall, the Wizards shot 57.9% from the field and 48.0% from behind the arc while committing a season-low 5 turnovers. Tonight was the Wizards night but the Pistons will look to bounce back against the Indiana Pacers tomorrow night at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
