Game Recap: Pistons in downward spiral, lose to Pacers 105-90

Tonight, the Detroit Pistons fell to the Indiana Pacers 105-90 and it is official, the Pistons (14-15) are in trouble. Stan Van Gundy first addressed the media:

After a “players only” meeting, apparently instigated by Aron Baynes, Marcus Morris had some powerful words to say to the media:

Paul George posted a game-high 26 points along with 7 rebounds. “I was being more aggressive and trying to go toward the basket to get some easy ones first,” George said of his changed mentality. “It’s just how the game ended up. I was able to play around the perimeter a lot more.”

Jeff Teague had a near triple-double with 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Detroit shot 38% from the field and 33% from behind the arc and at no point did they have a chance to win this game.

On a positive note, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had another great game, scoring 20 points with 5 rebounds. Reggie Jackson continues to find his game, posting 19 points with 10 assists.

Hopefully, the Pistons can pull it together soon because they fly to Chicago on Monday to take on the Bulls at the United Center at 8pm EST.
