Game Preview: Pistons Need Quick Turnaround Versus Jazz
The Detroit Pistons(18-23) continue their west coast road trip tonight as they head to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz(24-16).
The Jazz knocked off the defending NBA Champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers, on Tuesday night. Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward had a fantastic game going 10-12 from the field, scoring 28 points in the game. Rodney Hood added 18 points.
The Jazz are a very well rounded team. They get plenty of help at all positions and have great depth. They have Joe Johnson, Trey Lyles, and Joe Inglis who all come off the bench. Utah also has guard Alec Burks returning from injury soon.
The Pistons fell to the Golden State Warriors last night, 127-107. Marcus Morris scored 21 points for Detroit. Andre Drummond had 12 points and 10 boards.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope left the game just three minutes into it with a shoulder injury. Detroit also was without backup shooting guard Reggie Bullock and starting power forward Jon Leuer.
The Pistons played Golden State close, and even led at times, but a 41-point third quarter by the Warriors gave them control of the game.
