Game Preview: Pistons Face Blazers with Opporunity to Sweep Season Series

The Detroit Pistons(28-31) face the Portland Trail Blazers(24-34) tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. est.

The Blazers are struggling mightily right now, losing three of their last ten games. Their latest defeat comes at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, in which they lost 112-106. Damian Lillard scored 28 points and dished out eight assists in the loss. Lillard’s backcourt mate C.J. McCollum finished with 17 points. The Blazers played Toronto close, but DeMar DeRozan was too much, pouring in 33 points for the Raptors.

Detroit also lost in their last game, falling to the Boston Celtics, 104-98. The Celtics were able to capitalize on a five-point play when Jaylen Brown hit a three-pointer and then was fouled. Brown missed the free throw, but Boston was able to get the offensive rebound and score. Andre Drummond scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the loss.

The Pistons took the lead late after trailing by 15 at one point but Boston outplayed Detroit down the stretch.
