Report: Pistons Sign Eric Moreland After Successful Summer League Stint

The Detroit Pistons announced today that they have signed center Eric Moreland. Moreland played in the Orlando Summer League with the Pistons.

Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press reported that the deal is for multiple years.

Moreland was drafted by the Sacramento Kings and has appeared in 11 NBA games in his career.

In the Orlando Summer League, he averaged 7.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game. Moreland put together an outstanding 10 days, in which he displayed his defensive dominance.

Moreland will be the third string center for Detroit and will compliment Boban Marjanovic, an offensive minded big man, well.
