The NBA season is finally back.
And that means so are the Detroit Pistons.
The Detroit Pistons(0-0) host the Charlotte Hornets(0-0) tonight at Little Ceasers Arena in both team’s season opener.
These two teams meet in the preseason, with the Hornets escaping the game with a 108-106 win. Rookie shooting guard, Malik Monk, scored 19 points in the win for them. Jeremey Lamb added 18 points in 27 minutes off the bench.
Charlotte is looking to hoist the three ball at a higher rate this year and attempted 38 three-pointers against the Pistons in their preseason matchup. They connected on just 11 of those attempts.
The Hornets acquired Dwight Howard from the Atlanta Hawks in the offseason. He had 12 points and 11 boards against Detroit in their preseason meeting.
Andre Drummond led the way for Detroit in the loss, as he scored 16 points and secured 15 rebounds. Avery Bradley added 14 points.
The Charlotte Hornets will be without Nicholas Batum who tore a ligament in his left elbow just one minute into these two team’s matchup earlier this month.
