The Detroit Pistons (7-3) continued their strong play tonight, defeating the Sacramento Kings (1-8) 108-99 at Little Caesar’s Arena.
All five starters for both teams scored in double figures, with Avery Bradley scoring a game-high 24 points on 67% shooting from the field. Tobias Harris followed suit with 20 points.
Detroit opened the game on a 10-0 run, playing very fluidly. However, this would eventually be met with challenges as Detroit struggles to keep the ball.
Fortunately, despite 15 turnovers by the Pistons, Detroit’s defense forced a total of 17, capitalizing on most of their transition opportunities in the process.
SVG was very pleased with the leadership provided by Avery Bradley to open the season, saying after the game;
“I think he’s changed the demeanor of our team, I really do. I would give him a good part of the credit (for tonight’s game).”
Detroit will get some much-needed rest until Wednesday, where they will face the Indiana Pacers at Little Caesar’s Arena.
