The Detroit Pistons (9-3) have continued their hot start to the young NBA season, defeating the struggling Atlanta Hawks (2-10) 111-104.
The Pistons opened the game strong, headed to halftime with a solid 57-41 point lead by moving the ball well.
Despite nearly losing a 19-point lead, the Pistons were able to pull off the win at Little Caesar’s Arena with the help of clutch play by Reggie Jackson, who hit two key threes late in the game to ice it.
The Pistons’ scoring effort was headed by Jackson (22 points) and Avery Bradley (20 points). Andre Drummond continued his fantastic efforts on the glass with 20 rebounds.
Bradley commented on the win, proud of the ability of the Pistons to overcome adversity.
“For us, to be able to fight back and through the adversity and stick together as a team, it shows a lot about us.”
The Pistons will host the Miami Heat (6-6) on Sunday.
