Game Preview: Pistons Host Spurs in Final Meeting of Season

The Detroit Pistons(19-15) host the San Antonio Spurs(25-11) tonight at Little Ceasers Arena. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. Detroit lost to San Antonio 96-93 in their meeting earlier this season in San Antonio.

The Pistons were flattened by the Orlando Magic on Thursday, losing 102-89. The Magic, who had lost nine straight games, took down Detroit swiftly, and the Pistons countered with little fight. Andre Drummond finished with 17 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks. Tobias Harris added 21 points. Ish Smith, in his first start of the season, scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds in place of the injured Reggie Jackson. Detroit’s bench scored just 12 points on 3-22 shooting.

San antonio handled the New York Knicks on Thursday, 119-107. LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points. Pau Gasol played an all around fantastci game, scoring 17 points, securing 11 rebounds, and dishinbg out seven assists. Kawhi Leonard, who recently returned from injury, did not play, as he was rested. Kyle Anderson started in his place, scoring 16 points in his absence.

Injuries

Detroit will be without Reggie Jackson(ankle), Avery Bradley(groin), and Jon Leuer(ankle).

San Antonio will be without Rudy Gay(foot). Kawhi Leonard is listed as probable to play.
