Tonight the Detroit Pistons were destroyed by the Toronto Raptors, 123-94.
The Pistons kept the game close until the third quarter but in the third, the Raptors outscored the Pistons 34-22.
As a team, the Raptors shot 52.5% from the field and connected on 17 three-pointers. Conversely, the Pistons shot only 38.3% and hit only 7 three-pointers.
For the Raptors, Kyle Lowry had 20 points while DeMar DeRozan had 20 points and 7 assists. Serge Ibaka added 19 points and 9 rebounds.
For the Pistons, Andre Drummond had 18 points and 18 rebounds. Ish Smith poured in 16 points but only had 2 assists. Blake Griffin disappeared tonight, scoring only 12 points with a +/- of -20.
Overall, the Raptors are one of the best teams in the East and simply put, they outclass Detroit at nearly every position. As of now, the Pistons have no identity on offense and they have no ability to cover the three-point line. The Pistons will look to bounce back Wednesday night when they face the Milwaukee Bucks at home.
