Game Preview: Pistons look to bounce back in Denver

Tonight at 9:00pm EST the Detroit Pistons (30-37) will continue their long road trip by visiting the Denver Nuggets (37-31) at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver.

Both teams are coming off of a loss from Tuesday, the Pistons received a trouncing from the Utah Jazz and the Nuggets lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Denver will bring its high-powered offense to bear on a Piston defense that has fallen apart since the all-star break. The Pistons will be pressed to contain Denver’s three young studs: Nikola Jokic, Garry Harris, and Jamal Murray. All three are versatile offensive players who can shoot and have steadily grown more comfortable with each other.

The Pistons will hope to get back on track after a getting beaten so soundly by the Jazz, especially considering how badly they need to win a road game against a good team. Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond should have an easier time operating against a soft Denver defense than they did against the terrifying confines of the Rudy Gobert owned-paint in Utah.
