Game Preview: Pistons Dreadful Season Continues with Meeting Versus Lowly Kings

The Detroit Pistons(30-39) travel to the Golden 1 Center tonight to face the Sacramento Kings(23-48) tonight at 10:00p.m.

Detroit is coming into this game winners of just seven of their last 20 games. Their most recent defeat came at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers, 100-87. Andre Drummond was the catalyst for Detroit, finishing with 18 points and 22 rebounds. Luke Kennard added 12 points off the bench. Stan Van Gundy, furious after the loss, spoke unfavorably of the officiating, which he would later receive a fine from the league for.

The Kings dropped a close game to the Utah Jazz on Saturday, 103-97. Buddy Heild led the way for Sacramento scoring 23 points and dishing out six assists in just 29 minutes. No other king scored more than 12 points. The Kings shot a daunting 14-21 from the 3-point line in the defeat.

Injuries

The Pistons remain without Jon Leuer(ankle) and Reggie Jackson(ankle), but Stan Van Gundy said yesterday that Jackson could return at some point this week. Detroit has games tomorrow, Thursday, and Saturday following tonight’s game.

Harry Giles(knee) and Bogdan Bogdanovic(hamstring) are out for the Kings.
