Despite being eliminated from playoff contention on Wednesday, the Detroit Pistons(37-41) will play the Dallas Mavericks(24-55) as they come into Detroit tonight
The Pistons will step onto the court again without their new big-man Blake Griffin as he is still recovering from a bone bruise. SVG was quoted saying the chances Blake returns this season are “Certainly no better than 50/50”. On top of Blake’s injury, the Pistons will be without flourishing wing-man Reggie Bullock who was shut down for the rest of the season today with a left knee injury.
The Mavericks come into Detroit going (1-4) in their last 5 games. This season has been everything but great for the Mavs, as career-long Maverick Dirk Nowitzki plays out the end of his legendary career. With the drama surrounding Mark Cubans “tanking” comments, I’m sure they’re just happy to be ending the season.
The game tips off at 7:00 pm Est as the Pistons look to wrap up the last few games of the season strongly, starting at home against the Mavericks.
