The Detroit Pistons(38-41) were able to pull out a close victory against the Dallas Mavericks(24-56) in overtime.
Reggie Jackson led the Pistons tonight with his great shooting performance. He provided 24 points on 11-18 shooting, along with that he gave out 7 assists to his teammates. Reggie wasn’t alone tonight when it came to efficient scoring for the Pistons. Anthony Tolliver and Langston Galloway both did their part from three to get it done tonight. Tolliver added 16 points shooting 4-6 from three, and Galloway had 15 points on 4-7 from three.
Despite losing a close game, the Mavericks got a nice performance from a rookie, granted its probably not the rookie you expect. Mavs undrafted two-way rookie, Jonathan Motley out of Baylor. Motley got himself a double-double, scoring 26 points and grabbing 12 boards. Mavs premier rookie Dennis Smith Jr had a very quiet night, only scoring 7 points on 2-12 shooting.
The Pistons look to continue finishing the season strongly on Sunday, as they head into Memphis to play the Grizzlies. The Mavericks will look to bounce back with a win against the 76ers in Philadelphia.
