The Detroit Pistons are parting ways with the president of basketball operations and head coach Stan Van Gundy, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Van Gundy had been meeting with the owner, Tom Gores, over the last few weeks to determine the next course of action.
The team will now separate positions between the president of basketball operations and the head coaching position.
Wojnarowski also hints that Detroit could target Brent Barry for a front office position.
Van Gundy posted a 152-176 record with Detroit in four seasons. The Pistons were swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in their only playoff appearance under Van Gundy.
Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Pistons will now begin their search for front office and head coaching replacements.
