Report: Pistons Sign Zaza Pachulia to One-Year Deal

The Detroit Pistons have signed center Zaza Pachulia to a one-year, $2.4 million contract, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo.

Pachulia has been with the Golden State Warriors since the 2016-2017 season, where he has captured two NBA Championships with.

He appeared in 69 games last season and started in 57 games. He averaged 5.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest in those appearances.

This will likely spell the end to Eric Moreland’s tenure in Detroit, as Detroit will need to find a way to clear cap space to avoid having to pay the luxury tax. Moreland signed an unguaranteed contract with Detroit last offseason.

Pachulia was the 42nd pick in the 2003 NBA Draft to the Orlando Magic. He has played 15 NBA seasons.
