Report: James Ennis Signs with Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have agreed to a deal with Detroit Pistons’ unrestricted free agent, James Ennis, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo.

Ennis was acquired by the Pistons at the trade deadline last season and appeared in 27 games with Detroit. He averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 20.4 minutes per game.

The Pistons were interested in re-signing Ennis at the beginning of free agency but opted to sign the uber-athletic sharpshooter, Glenn Robinson III.

Ennis shot 30.4 percent from the 3-point line, after shooting over 35 percent from deep before being traded to Detroit. The Rockets, one of the most prolific 3-point shooting teams in the league, will hope Ennis can be more productive from behind the arc.
