Pistons’ big man Jon Leuer, who underwent surgery on his right meniscus on August 8th, is expected to be available for Detroit when the team opens their season against the Brooklyn Nets at Little Caesar’s Arena on October 17, according to Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press:
Also I gather #Pistons power forward Jon Leuer (knee surgery) is expected to be ready by the season opener and franchise cautiously optimistic that he will be ready by the start of camp.

Leuer, who played in just eight games for Detroit last season before suffering an ankle injury that kept him out the remainder of the season, will be needed to play a key role off the bench for the Pistons this year with the loss of Anthony Tolliver.
