The (4-0) Pistons host the (3-2) Boston Celtics as they look to prove themselves as a true top eastern conference team despite their easy schedule thus far. Tip-off at 7pm.
The Celtics hope to show themselves as a real top tier team despite getting to a slower start than expected, despite getting to a slow start in their last game against the Thunder they bounced back and got the win (101-95). Lead by second-year player Jayson Tatum in Scoring (18.8 ppg) He’ll try to continue to establish himself as an elite scorer in this league tonight, more than likely being guarded by Pistons top defender Stanley Johnson. Returning superstar Gordon Hayward would love to have a breakout game after having a relatively slow start to his comeback season only averaging 10 ppg. Celtics center Al Horford is more than likely hoping to show he can contain Detroit big man, Andre Drummond, despite the word around the league on their matchups.
Detroit will hope to continue on this great start to the season (4-0) and really prove themselves against what many consider to be a top team in the east, the Boston Celtics. Lead by elite power forward Blake Griffin whos averaging 33.8 PPG, it will be interesting to see him try to continue his scoring dominance, especially with Celtics big man Aron Baynes out of the game, making his assumed match up Marcus Morris. Center Andre Drummond will definitely look to continue his established dominance against Celtics center Al Horford, over the last two years of their matchups Dre has averaged 18.9 ppg and 17.9 Rbg, a matchup that Drummond has gotten the better of over the last couple years no doubt about it.
