Game Preview: Stephen Curry Returns as Warriors Visit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons(12-7) host the Golden State Warriors(15-8) tonight at Little Ceasers Arena. The matchup between Detroit and the reigning NBA Champions will tip-off at 7:00p.m.

For the Pistons, they are riding their hottest wave so far of the young season. In their last seven games, Detroit has won six, with a two-point loss to the Houston Rockets in between their victories.

Last night, a blowout win over the Chicago Bulls earned Detroit their 12th win. Per usual, Blake Griffin was the catalyst, finishing with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Andre Drummond added 19 points and 20 rebounds. Reggie Jackson had a great first quarter scoring 14 points on 5-5 shooting and ended the game with 20 points.

Golden State comes in off a 131-128 defeat in overtime at the hands of the Toronto Raptors. Kevin Durant poured in 51 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in the loss.

The Warriors will receive serious re-enforcement tonight, as two-time MVP Stephen Curry is set to return from a groin injury that has cost him the last 10 games of the season.

Detroit could also have a player returning from injury, as Luke Kennard appeared in yesterday’s game with the Grand Rapids Drive. He scored 27 points n=in the Drive’s loss, and Dwane Casey said yesterday that Kennard could be back as soon as Saturday.
