The Drive will release Joe Kilgore to make room for Lofton.
The Pistons let Lofton and Keenan Evans go to make room for Isaiah Whitehead and Kalin Lucas to take over in the two-way spots. Lofton, who has impressed this season, was clearly a guy that they wanted to keep in the organization.
Lofton has scored just over 18 points and dished 3 assists per game for the Drive this season.
The move will give Grand Rapids a substantial boost to their backcourt, when the two-way players are with the team they will boast a very high-level of guard play. Between Speedy Smith, Lofton, Whitehead, and Lucas they have a great group.
The Drive are in action tonight at 7:00pm at the DeltaPlex.
