The Detroit Pistons are nearing an agreement with wingman Wayne Ellington, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Ellington, who was bought out by the Phoenix after being traded to them by the Miami Heat at the trade deadline, will sign with the Pistons once he clears waivers.

Detroit was expected to aggressively pursue Ellington before this agreement was reported.
