Friday night at the DeltaPlex Arena in Walker, Michigan the Grand Rapids drive faced the Canton Charge in what is the final home game of the season.
Grand Rapids got off to a fast start in the game, jumping out into a double-digit lead in the opening moments, but Canton stabilized and got back into the game. The Drive held a lead continually but Canton stayed right in distance until about the midway point of the 4th quarter where Grand Rapids started hitting a flurry of shots on their way to blowing away for the final score of 133-102.

Grand Rapids was led, as usual, these days, by Kalin Lucas who had 31 points and 4 assists. Fellow two-way player Isaiah Whitehead also had 25 and 4 other players were in double-digits.
Grand Rapids officially clinched a playoff birth late Wednesday night despite their own loss but Grand Rapids still had something to play for and will again in their season finale tomorrow in Ft Wayne.
The Windy City Bulls lost tonight, finishing up just before Grand Rapids did, which moved the Drive up into a tie for the division lead. Grand Rapids, however, holds the tie-breaker over the Bulls after having won 3 of the 4 games between the two squads. As such, Grand Rapids has the division lead and with both teams having just one game to go, if they win tomorrow, or the Bulls lose, it will give Grand Rapids their first-ever division title.
