According to Adam Johnson of 2 Ways and 10 Days, the Detroit Pistons are expected to name Donnie Tyndall the head coach of the Grand Rapids Drive.

Once the former head coach at the University of Tennessee, Tyndall spent last season with the Grand Rapids Drive as an assistant coach.

Tyndall’s entrance comes with the shocking departure of Ryan Krueger, who took the reigns of the position over in 2017. The Drive made the playoffs in both years under his guidance.

Tyndall is a close friend of Pistons coach Dwane Casey, who helped bring him into the organization.
