It seems like Christian Wood has made his way into the hearts of Pistons fans since the team picked him up this past off-season. His strong play in the preseason was rewarded, as he earned the Pistons final roster spot.
Wood hasn’t gotten more than 4 minutes of play in the team’s first two games of the season. While some fans are excessively high on Christian Wood, I make the case that with more chances, he will steadily improve and earn a spot in the second unit rotation.
A 6-11 center from UNLV, Wood previously spent time with New Orleans and Milwaukee, where he showed flashes that he belonged on an NBA roster. Wood has never had a true NBA home, and the Pistons may be just that.
