According to the Detroit Pistons medical staff, point guard Reggie Jackson will be out for at least two more weeks as he rehabs and continues to make progress from a stress reaction in his lower back.
Jackson is in the final year of a 5 year, 80 million dollar contract and has only appeared in two games this season. The 29 year old, injury-plagued guard was rumored to be nearing full health, but it appears the Pistons will have to wait a little longer for Jackson to return.
For now, Detroit will continue to operate with a point guard rotation of Bruce Brown, Derrick Rose, and Tim Frazier for the next couple weeks. Sitting at 7-13, the hope was that Jackson’s return could help dig Detroit out of their early season hole. However, it looks as though the Pistons will continue to make do with what they have as they wait for Jackson’s return.
