REPORT: Hawks Cut Ties On Drummond Trade Talks

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Atlanta Hawks have ended trade discussions with the Detroit Pistons regarding Andre Drummond.

Rumors about the All-Star big man being traded surfaced January 3, 2020, when a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Hawks proposed a deal of Damian Jones, Chandler Parsons or Allen Crabbe (who was traded to Minnesota today), and a first-round pick, according to sources. The deal has since been nixed and the two teams have gone their separate ways.

The Pistons are still fielding offers for Drummond, however, hoping to get a first-round pick in return. According to sources throughout the league, teams have been unwilling to give up a first-round pick for Drummond.

Drummond is expected to decline his $28.8 million player option for the 2020-21 season, making him a free agent this offseason.
