Luke Kennard has been out since before Christmas. And head coach Dwane Casey said today that the third-year guard will be out for a few more weeks.
Kennard has been out with bilateral knee tendonitis. He was enjoying a career season before suffering the injury.
Through 28 games, he has averaged 15.8 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. Those are all career highs. He had been shooting 44.2% from the field and 39.9% from the 3-point line.
In his absence, Svi Mykhailiuk has seen an increased opportunity for minutes.
A return in two weeks would bring Kennard back into the fold in the middle of February.
