Per Shams Charania, the Pistons are looking for a lottery pick in any potential trade involving Derrick Rose. Rose, who’s been a major piece for the Pistons this year, is someone who contenders have had eyes on throughout the course of the season.
Currently, Rose is averaging 18.9 points and 6 assists per game on 32/50/88 shooting splits. The guard, who will be representing Detroit in the NBA Skills Challenge during All-Star Weekend. Additionally, Rose has scored at least 20 points in 13 straight games, including 15 of his last 16 games.
With the Pistons struggling to tread water in the playoff race, Detroit has been heavily involved with numerous trade rumors that could change the team’s future outlook. The Pistons have been attempting to obtain draft picks in return for their assets. Rose has proven he has value as a bench option, and could even start for several teams in need of a guard.
The Pistons have had trouble with their guard lineups, and moving Rose might create more flexibility in the back court for Detroit.
