Report: Reggie Jackson Considering Buyout

Per Marc Stein of the NY Times, Reggie Jackson is considering a buyout of his contract, and already has reported interest from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jackson is the Pistons longest tenured player on the team currently, and him leaving for L.A. would leave Detroit with a point guard rotation resembling Derrick Rose, Brandon Knight, and Jordan Bone.

This news is no coincidence following the Andre Drummond trade, which occurred at the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline. Jackson and Drummond were close friends, and if he were to head to the Clippers, would be joining a familiar face in Paul George. George and Jackson have a long-standing friendship, and the two would certainly enjoy the opportunity to play together.
