POP On The Clock: THAT’S Why Sekou Isn’t Getting Any Action?!?!

Yeah Dwayne Casey, that’s gotta be the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard a coach say about a rookie.

The Pistons are officially in tank mode, and with what was supposed to be a quiet week with two losses and Svitoslav Mykhailiuk made his appearance in the Rising Stars Game, Dwayne Casey decided to drop an absolute media-goldmine about Doumsday himself.

Welcome back to POP On The Clock. This should be a fun one.

The Week In Games:

The Pistons took losses in each of their games this week, one of the ugly variety and one of the type that we all want to see; close until the end. Detroit opened the week with a loss to Charlotte, 87-(a cringe inducing) 76. Detroit followed with a nail-biter in Orlando, falling to the Magic 116-112 in overtime.

Pistons News of the Week

Well, I was supposed to have a quiet week this week. Two games, Svi in the Rising Stars Game and that’s it. I started this piece with my feet kicked up, ready to mail it in like Tim Frazier did this year.

But NO. Dwayne Casey decided to drop a nuke on us this week with his Sekou quotes after the loss to Charlotte.

You’ve GOT to be kidding me.

I have never seen a coach in my life look at a player who seems focused about his professional career and basically say that the reason he’s not getting more action ON the court is because he’s not getting action OFF it.

I mean… WHAT??? (Follow Zar, you’re missing out if not.)

Do we really have to sit here and say that we need our potential franchise player, the youngest player in the league, the player we think can be Giannis Antetokounmpo, to be distracted? I’ve never seen something like that in my life as a fan of basketball.

In other non-action related news, Svitoslav Mykhailiuk participated in the Rising Stars Game this Friday, dropping six points and grabbing four boards in a 151-131 Team World loss.

Finally, Derrick Rose had quite the exclamation point on this week, as he had a turn-back-the-clock pregame dunk according to Rod Beard.

He’s still got it folks.

(Please ignore the abhorrent performance against Orlando)
