According to a report from Chris Haynes, Derrick Rose will be sidelined for a few weeks with an ankle injury, potentially opening an opportunity for the Pistons to sign former Denver Nuggets guard Jordan McRae.
Rose, who sustained the injury during a 106-100 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday in California, has been a bright spot in what’s been an otherwise dark season for the Pistons. Rose is averaging 18.1 points and 5.6 assists per game this season.
As a result of this injury, the Pistons are eyeing journeyman Jordan McRae, who was recently waived by the Denver Nuggets. McRae has played in 33 games this season, highlighted by a 35-point performance for the Wizards in January.
McRae could fill a much-needed scoring void created by D-Rose’s injury.
