Detroit Pistons’ Star Forward, Blake Griffin, will reportedly give $100,000 to Little Caesars Arena employees in the midst of the 2019-2020 season suspension, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
The NBA season is currently on hiatus for at least a month, and NBA teams are not the only people impacted financially. Specifically, arena workers are heavily impacted. Griffin’s donation is following fellow NBA star Forwards, Kevin Love and Giannis Antetokounmpo doing the same.
If the NBA season resumes, it is likely to resume play in the playoffs, meaning there is a strong possibility the Pistons have played their last game of the 2019-2020 season, and are currently 5th in the NBA Draft lottery odds.
