REPORT: Christian Wood Tested Positive for COVID-19

Shams Charania has reported that Pistons’ breakout forward, Christian Wood, has tested positive for COVID-19 (also known as Coronavirus) following a March 7th game against the Utah Jazz.

Detroit Pistons‘ Christian Wood has tested positive for coronavirus, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Wood had 30 and 11 rebounds against Rudy Gobert on Saturday night before a career-high 32 on Wednesday.

Sources say Wood has shown no symptoms and is doing well.

Wood has had a breakout season after being claimed off waivers in July, and has been one of the only bright spots on the Pistons roster following the trade deadline.

In a statement released by the Pistons, the team said Wood is under the attention of the care of the team medical staff and is in isolation.

Christian Wood’s agency tells me that Christian is “100% okay thankfully” and “feels fine” after testing positive for COVID-19. He is the third player in the NBA to test positive for the virus.

Wood’s agent tells PalaceOfPistons.com that Wood is feeling 100% and has recovered.
