With the 7th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons have selected Killian Hayes, a French point guard who played for Ratiopharm Ulm of the German Bundesliga. This is the first draft pick of Troy Weaver’s tenure as the Pistons’ general manager.
At Ratiopharm, Hayes averaged 12.8 points, 6.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds on 46% shooting, and is now another young player key to the future of the Detroit Pistons. According to scouting reports, Hayes is an athletic guard who utilizes his strength to finish through contact.
The Pistons will next pick at pick 16, a draft pick acquired today in a trade with the Houston Rockets.
