According to ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Detroit Pistons made “an exploratory call” to the Washington Wizards about a potential Blake Griffin for John Wall trade.
However, the talks proceeded to not go anywhere and it is unclear how interested Detroit is. Wall has not played the past two seasons due to injuries. Griffin is coming off a mediocre season where he only played in 18 games due to knee problems.
The 30 year-old Wall has three years left on his contract worth $133 million, with the third year being a player option. As for Griffin, the 31 year-old has two years left on his deal worth $75 million, with the final year being a player option as well.
