Detroit Pistons center Jahlil Okafor will miss the next six-to-eight weeks after undergoing a successful surgery to clean the lateral meniscus in his left knee, according to Omari Sankofa II.

Okafor has been inactive since January 30 and has missed the last four games in that timespan. He started the season as the primary backup to Mason Plumlee, but has fallen out of the rotation due to the play of rookie Isaiah Stewart.

Okafor signed a two-year, $4 million contract this past offseason. He is averaging 4.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12 games this season.
