Despite being cut before free agency Deividas Sirvydis will be on the summer league roster. Sirvydis was a 1st round pick along with Sekou Doumbouya in the 2018 draft.
Despite being one of the longer tenured Pistons on the roster last season, he saw very few opportunity’s on the court playing in mostly garbage time minutes. Deividas will finally get to spread his wings on the court this summer league as he’ll be joining the team in Vegas.
In the 2019-2020 Eurocup season Sirvydis recorded 6.6 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 0.7 AST while going .439 from the field and .382 from three. Much like a lot of young talent in the 2019-2020 draft, his opportunity was greatly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, and should make great use of this opportunity to gain his spot back on the squad.
With this news we may see other talent that was recently cut, Tyler Cook, make an appearance on the summer league squad. This tournament may also decide the roster fate of a few other players.
