According to hoopshype.com, Pistons are expected to pursue Nerlens Noel and Kelly Olynyk once free agency begins.
Last season in New York, Noel played a huge role on defense raising the opponent rim field goal percentage from 13th in the 2019-2020 campaign to first this previous season. Noel started 2 games for the Knicks in the playoffs while playing in 5, and averaged 4.6 PPG, 4 REB, and 0.6 BLKS in those 5 games. The signing would also reunite Noel with past Philadelphia 76ers teammate and close friend Jerami Grant.
Olynyk’s market value is believed to be the full mid-level exception and 12 million annually. After ending up on the Houston Rockets after the James Harden trade, Olynyk averaged 19 PPG on 54.5% shooting along with 8.4 REBs, 4.1 AST and 1.4 STL per game.
