The Detroit Pistons continue their off-season moves as free agency season starts to simmer down and summer league begins. This time they renounce the rights to guard Dennis Smith Jr. according to NBA journalist Keith Smith.
The former North Carolina State guard is apart of another transaction where Troy Weaver and the Pistons are looking to continue to grow their cap and scratch some names off the books. Smith Jr. becomes an unrestricted free agent, after averaging 6.7 points and 3.3 assist a game last year with the both the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons. The 23 year-old will be looking to potentially join his 4th team in his 5th season in the NBA.
