Cunningham, who was the first overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, has been rehabbing from an ankle injury with the Pistons’ G-League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise. Pistons fans have been long awaiting his first in-game action since the Las Vegas Summer League.

The Pistons, who have yet to win a game this season, will look to capitalize on Cunningham’s playmaking and scoring ability to keep them in games. Cunningham averaged 18.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.7 steals in the summer league.
